There’s a growing concern in the Celestial Church as more parishes continue to reject transferred clergy. In many cases, these decisions are being influenced by the de facto shepherds already in place.
This ongoing trend is not just troubling—it’s hurting the image and unity of the church. Weak leadership and poor administrative structure are making things worse. The church is being watched, both at home and abroad, and these internal conflicts are becoming more visible.
When the church centers all power around shepherds/Transferred Clergy and ignores the voices of members, this is the result. Leadership shouldn’t be about control; it should inspire and bring people together. Unfortunately, that balance is missing.
There’s little effort to seek feedback from members when it comes to assessing the performance of clergy. That’s a big gap in leadership. When important groups like the parochial committee and the youth are sidelined, the church misses out on their energy and ideas.
The church also struggles with separating administrative duties from spiritual ones. Mixing both leads to confusion and inefficiency. It’s worth learning from how churches like the Catholic and other missionary bodies manage leadership and structure. Their system could offer some helpful lessons.
Lastly, there’s a growing call for action regarding leadership at the top. Some shepherds, especially those seen as loyal to Ketu Headquarters, have remained in one place for too long. This creates a sense of ownership that weakens overall authority. Without proper changes, the church may continue to face deeper challenges.
Leadership is not complete without followership. It’s time to take feedback seriously, make bold adjustments, and strengthen the future of the church.
