The Celestial Church of Christ Clergy Insurance Scheme is designed to provide financial support to the dependents of the church’s clergy after their passing, with a sum benefit of N1.7 million.
His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, has issued a directive for all clergy members and their spouses to enroll in this scheme.
The 5% monthly welfare deduction is a result of the Pastor’s innovative thinking, aiming to create a pool of funds to cater to the needs of the C.C.C. Clergy while they are still alive. This includes elderly clergy members, those suffering from terminal illnesses, those awaiting new assignments, and overall well-being.
It is disheartening to note the poor response, particularly from the larger parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ. His Eminence has expressed his disappointment regarding this matter, as it poses a threat to the scheme’s purpose. Currently, only around 60 parishes have complied.
Please be aware that in the upcoming year of 2024, an appropriate Health Insurance Scheme will be introduced for all clergy members of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
