On December 25th, 1964, a significant event took place that would forever be etched in the history of the church. It was a day designated by the heavens to unveil God’s love for Rev. A.A Bada. On this momentous day, Rev. Abiodun Bada was to be anointed as an Evangelist of God in the Church. While he was not the first to receive such an anointment, nor would he be the last, something extraordinary occurred during this particular ceremony.
Before the anointment, the pastor and founder, Rev. S.B.J Oshoffa, became deeply troubled in his inner being by the Holy Spirit. He sensed that a spiritual peculiarity would manifest during the event. Pausing for a brief moment, the founder openly asked God for a sign and guidance for the anointment. Almost immediately, the heavens opened, and “DEWS” began to pour down on the entire arena and congregation. In response, the congregation raised their hands and loudly exclaimed a thousand hallelujahs, expressing their awe and appreciation for this wondrous occurrence.
On December 24th, 1972, Rev. Bada received another anointment, this time as a senior Evangelist at the Porto Novo bar beach. Then, on December 25th, 1976, Rev. A.A Bada became the first supreme Evangelist in the worldwide Church. He held this esteemed position until the passing of the church’s founder, Rev. S.B.J Oshoffa, on September 10, 1985.
At the time of Rev. Oshoffa’s demise, Rev. A.A Bada held an unparalleled position in the church hierarchy. He was the only supreme Evangelist in the worldwide church. Rev. Oshoffa, during his lifetime, often referred to him as “EKEJIMI,” meaning “MY NEXT OF KIN” or “MY second in command.” Rev. A.A Bada’s spiritual dedication and motivation were unmatched, solidifying his significant role within the church.
This extraordinary event showcases the divine love and guidance that shaped the leadership of the church, highlighting Rev. A.A Bada’s unique position and spiritual connection to Rev. S.B.J Oshoffa.
