PROPHETS & PENTECOST (Part 2)

1. PENTECOST is/was not a day or event mainly for Prophets and Prophetess

2. PENTECOST Day is/was the day of the release of the third in Trinity upon believers and that all believers must have this experience, It is therefore pertinent to further establish that SPEAKING IN TONGUES is NOT the definition or SYMBOL of PENTECOST. Yes ! Speaking in Tongues is only a FEATURE in PENTECOST.

Again, SPEAKING IN TONGUES is not the definition or STANDARD for Pentecostal experience..

Of course, the Bible in Acts 2 revealed that the disciples began to speak in tongues but these tongues at that given time was IDENTIFIABLE.

Take note that the Bible didn’t say the same SPIRITS but same SPIRIT – just the Holy spirit.. Meaning that, all gifts are in the HOLY SPIRIT and so BELIEVERS can choose to desire or prefer any or al the gifts..

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of TONGUES, and to still another the INTERPRETATION of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

 

With the above scriptural reference, it is therefore theologically wrong to pick one out of the many gifts in the HOLY SPIRIT as a SYMBOL or DEFINITION for PENTECOST or PENTECOSTALISM .

PENTECOST is the unending beginning of heavenly realities in the lives of belivers and the Church.

Brethren, the scriptural SYMBOL or DEFINITION for PENTECOST or a PENTECOSTAL experience is POWER. PENTECOSTAL experience reveals or causes the manifestation of a gift or gifts in the Holy spirit in the life of a believer. Every Christian/Believer who has received the power of the Holy spirit is therefore PENTECOSTAL. Every Christian denomination that believes in Trinity and manifests the several gifts in the Holy spirit is a PENTECOSTAL Church. And to be précised, the Celestial Church of Christ is a PENTECOSTAL Church where all gifts in the HOLY SPIRIT is manifested. Those who thinks PENTECOSTALISM is all about SPEAKING in TONGUES should revisit the scriptures again and again.
