As prophets, our instincts play a significant role in our Gifts. One of the fascinating aspects of our journey is that, as long as we continue to grow, our Gifts and Spirit become intertwined. This means that our thoughts and instincts are inspired by the Holy Spirit.
However, the truth is that many of us have not reached that level yet. It is a common reality that, at times, when we focus on people for too long, we tend to receive a sense of messages. This sense of messages is where issues usually arise because we struggle to differentiate between God’s guidance and our own thoughts.
I have witnessed numerous instances where people act based on their instincts and knowledge, mistakenly attributing it to God’s will. For example, I know of a woman who suffered from an ulcer attack while in church. The shepherd and church workers immediately assumed it was a spiritual attack, but when she didn’t feel better, they eventually took her to the hospital. It turned out that she needed medical treatment, not spiritual intervention.
This kind of action is common among prophets. We often make decisions or take actions based on our thoughts, but we must question whether it truly aligns with God’s instructions.
I recall a prophetess in the spirit tying a woman’s girdle (amure) during a service, claiming that she was pregnant with a glorious child. However, the error was that the woman only had a protruded belly and was not actually pregnant. The prophetess relied on her instincts, but unfortunately, she guessed wrong.
It is crucial to understand that just because someone comes to us with a problem, such as a delay in marriage or a bad attitude, it does not necessarily mean it is a spiritual issue. Many times, we function based on instincts and mistakenly label them as messages.
