Initially , correctly and expectedly,
I disapproved of the presence of the lady (name withheld) who is said to be a member of the Celestial Church of Christ at the ongoing BIG BROTHER NAIJA reality show which is notorious for promoting immorality, waywardness and every other nonsense you can think of.
I vehemently condemned it because the Bible in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 clearly said,
“Stay away from every kind of evil”.
Also in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Paul the Apostle said,
“Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?”
So, it is clear that BB- Naija is not a platform where any serious and true Believer should be found. JESUS our Redeemer in Mathew 16:24 said,
“Then Jesus told His disciples, If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.”
Also in Psalm 1:1, the Bible said,
“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers.”
However, whenever we are faced with this kind of issue, we must be careful not to throw away the baby with the bath water. We must question ourselves on how JESUS would handle this matter if he were faced with it.
While Peter was sinking into the waters, Jesus first reached out to him to save him from sinking before talking to him about his little Faith (Mathew 14:31). Meaning, we can always help out first before correcting.
While I will no longer discourage anyone from supporting or voting the fellow who is now in dire need of votes to emerge the winner, my question is,
WHO WILL REACH OUT TO HER AFTER THE END OF THE IMMORAL SHOW FOR THE SAKE OF REPROOFING AND CORRECTING HER?
EITHER SHE WINS OR NOT, WILL THOSE USING THE CELESTIAL CHURCH IMAGE TO PROMOTE AND SEEK VOTES FOR HER OPENLY TELL HER ON THIS SAME SOCIAL MEDIA THAT, SHE MADE A MISTAKE AND SHOULD PLEASE REDEDICATE HER LIFE TO CHRIST?
WHO WILL DRAW HER CLOSER TO BIBLE STUDYING?
OR WILL SHE FROM THIS HEIGHT MOVE TO GREATER HEIGHTS IN IMMORAL SHOWS AND START TO PROMOTE NUDITY TO SUSTAIN HER FAME AND GAIN MORE WEALTH?
WILL SHE USE HER FAME AND WEALTH TO NOW PROMOTE JESUS AND THE TRUE GOSPEL LIKE CHIDINMA EKILE WHO FROM HIP HOP MUSIC MOVED TO GOSPEL MUSIC? Chidinma EKILE sang Kedike, Emi ni Baller, before she encountered Jesus and started Gospel songs.
I am asking because, it will now be a bigger sin on everyone who will vote for her in the Celestial Church only to watch her derail more after the show.
As you are seeking votes and promoting her ,please endeavour to remind her after she has won or lost to go back to Jesus and categorically state that, you only supported because JESUS loves her and wants her back.
This writer is particular about the AFTERMATH of the SUPPORT of CELESTIANS. Because, the Church must not be culpable in giving support to whatever will strengthen the reign of sin against the Holiness that we pursue.
Nevertheless, I like us to support her and ensure a OPEN follow up after she wins or lost.
