Metro Parish USA Addresses Illegal Transaction; V/S/E Ogun Unfit As Shepherd

The effort to build a well-organized parish where worshippers’ opinions are heard and God’s instructions are faithfully followed has made tremendous progress at CCC Metropolitan Archdiocese Parish, Washington, DC, USA. The parishioners’ collective voice has reached out to the church administration in Imeko, Nigeria.

There enormous voice, which has traveled over 9,000 kilometers from the United States to Imeko, Nigeria, remains resolute in its refusal to accept any attempt to impose an authoritarian style of governance on them. On January 14, 2024, the parish got a letter from the pastor’s office confirming the continuation of V/S/E Ogun as shepherd. However, the parishioners have found him unfit and incompetent to lead them in these particular situations.

The parish continues to advocate for a full-time shepherd who has vast expertise and a strong connection to the Holy Spirit. This call is in response to the uncertainty created by certain members, as well as other influences, who are fighting against God’s ideals in a parish that has thrived for more than 48 years.

In the same spirit, members of the CCC Metropolitan Archdiocese Parish USA have demanded a public explanation from Sup. Evang. Pius Adebowale. Adewale Ayo Olodun, Sup. Evang.; Philip Bello, Sup. Evang. David Adelaja Hassan, M/C Titilayo Olugbuyi, M/C Victoria Fakilede, and M/C Olufunke Bajulaiye are investigating the illicit withdrawal of $2,000 from the parish account.

The withdrawal was made without the parishioners’ knowledge and was used to pay a legal charge to Most Sup. Evang. Tokunbo Shomide is also a shepherd at CCC Divine Parish in New Castle, Delaware, United States.

We got a letter dated January 18, 2024, which states that the Celestial Church of Christ, Washington Metropolitan Arch-Diocese USA, is not involved in any legal issues with individuals, groups, or organizations. However, there are current judicial cases concerning specific members of the parish.

Members of the CCC Metropolitan Archdiocese Parish USA are requesting a clear and honest explanation from the people listed above regarding the unauthorized removal of cash. They believe it is critical to understand why parish funds were utilized to pay a legal charge when the parish is not directly involved in any legal actions.

The letter includes detailed transaction details, such as check number 2888 dated June 6, 2023, which was issued in the amount of $2,000.00 (two thousand dollars) to Most Superior Evangelist Tokunbo Shomide for a court matter.

The letter also implies that the problem at hand is a disagreement between the Parochial Committee and the Elders’ Council, notably the Elders’ Council’s interference with the Parochial Committee’s administrative activities. Another case was filed by Special Superior Evangelist David Adelaja Hassan against Ven. Sup. Evang. Olaitan Balogun and others.

Evangelist Hassan is seeking, among other things, a court declaration that he should be recognized as the Metro Arch-Diocese’s Leader-in-Charge, despite his termination by the Pastor and Head of Celestial Church of Christ, Worldwide, as stated in a letter dated December 27th, 2022, with reference number CCC/WHQ/EMF/PO/TMN-01/12-22.

The suspected elders must now react to the accusation of a transaction with Most. Superior Evangelist Tokunbo Shomide by June 6th, 2023. Furthermore, V/S/E Ogun has failed to attend worship services at CCC Metropolitan Archdiocese Parish USA for the previous two weeks, as demonstrated by his rejection.
