It is believed that one of the early prophets of the church, WOLISATA, received the very first spiritual hymns that expressed the devotion to Holy Mary.
One such hymn, known as Hymn No. 762, is recited with great reverence within the Celestial Church community. Its lyrics, “Enyin ara ‘nu Kristi,” resonate with the believers and serve as a testament to their faith.
The significance of Holy Mary’s presence during the apparition is profound. In a trance-like state, the Pastor found himself ascending a flight of steps until he reached a plane covered in fallen leaves. To his astonishment, he saw a fair white lady draped in a beautiful blue attire. She stood in a protective posture, as if shielding something away from him.
As the Pastor descended the steps, he caught sight of a church from which a Reverend Father emerged. The Reverend Father repeatedly bowed in homage to the Pastor. The Pastor then ascended once again to the spot where he had earlier encountered the fair lady. This time, she revealed what she had been shielding – a baby adorned with a crown on His head. Pointing to the baby, she uttered these profound words:
“Jesu yi, Emi Mimo ni, Okan Mimo ni, Oba iye ni, Eni ha fe sin ghodo tona to mo rekete” (meaning “This is Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Holy One, the King of life, who want to worship him in the right path”).
The apparition of Holy Mary and the message she conveyed holds immense importance and symbolism in the Celestial Church. It serves as a reminder of the divine presence and the enduring faith of the believers. The faithful continue to honor and celebrate Holy Mary’s Day, cherishing the spiritual connection and guidance she provides.
