Prophetic Ministry in the CCC, there’s a troubling trend where everyone who enters is automatically labeled as a “wooli,” whether they’re Nollywood actors, traditionalists, dubious individuals, or even those seeking prayer for mental health issues. This raises questions about why this labeling is occurring and what actions the genuine members/prophets of our church are taking to address it.
It’s disheartening to witness the lack of order and adherence to spiritual principles and policies in ministerial appointments and anointments. Money seems to have overtaken discernment in decision-making processes. Many idle and unemployed individuals now view the prophetic ministry as a means of sustenance, while others seek to exploit it for nefarious purposes. This neglects the sacredness and sensitivity we should uphold within the prophetic realm.
I’ve personally spoken with a few respected prophets in the church about what they’re doing to combat these issues, but they often cite administrative breakdowns as obstacles. However, as ministers of the ministry, we expect them to take proactive steps, as Evangelist Temitope Jaiyeola emphasized, launching a comprehensive gospel campaign to address these concerns.
The prophetic office is facing a crisis of invasion and siege. Since the passing of Papa SBJO in 1985, it seems there’s been a lack of prophetic order or integrity. Recently, I stumbled upon a convention at Agidingbi discussing the CCC Worldwide Prophetic Ministry. When I inquired about the rationale and legitimacy behind the gathering, they couldn’t provide satisfactory answers. This lack of transparency and adherence to due process poses a significant threat to preserving the legacy of the prophetic ministry within our church. How did we allow ourselves to reach this point? as said by one of our father.
