The Zion Youth Fellowship of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Osogbo 1 Cathedral in Ayetoro, Osun State, has publicly distanced itself from recent social media claims made against the church’s Shepherd, AMSE Firmin Akinbode Adjovi.
In a statement signed by Youth Coordinator Asst. Leader Abolaji Samuel and General Secretary H/E Gbadamosi Oluwatobi, the youth department, expressed deep concern over a widely circulated letter accusing Shepherd Adjovi of failing to remit church dues (“pin”) to CCC headquarters for over 14 months.
The youth leaders made it clear that the letter, which was shared online and allegedly authored by individuals named CEB Babalola Aanu and Evangelist Olabisi Sola, did not originate from them or have their approval. They strongly condemned the content and intent of the letter, describing it as false, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to undermine the integrity of the church’s leadership.
“We were never aware of such a letter, and we outrightly reject and denounce its claims,” the statement read. “These kinds of baseless accusations not only attack the man of God but also threaten the unity and spiritual progress of our church community.”
According to the youth department, many of the names listed as signatories on the viral letter are fictitious. They believe the letter was part of a calculated effort by unnamed individuals to tarnish the image of the Shepherd and disrupt the peace and growth of the church.
Despite these distractions, the Zion Youth Fellowship reaffirmed its loyalty and commitment to the church and its spiritual leadership. “We are lovers of God, seekers of good, and respecters of the anointing upon His servants,” the group stated, while calling for peace and continued spiritual focus.
The statement ended with a prayer for God’s protection over the church and its members, and a reaffirmation of their identity:
“Long live Zion Youth, long live CCC Osogbo 1 Cathedral, long live CCC worldwide.”
