Ajase/Agongue Pilgrimage Postponed – CCC Awaits Unity Blueprint

The 2025 Ajase/Agongue Pilgrimage, originally scheduled for March 7th – March 9th, 2025, has been postponed indefinitely. A new date will be announced in due course.

The decision followed a meeting initiated by President Patrice Talon of the Republic of Benin, aimed at promoting unity within the Celestial Church of Christ (C.C.C.) worldwide. It is important to clarify that this meeting was not convened by His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa, the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the church. Like all other attendees, he was invited to participate.

Clarifications on Misinformation

Recent claims by Honorat G. Hounkpatin suggesting that Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa is not the recognized Global Head of C.C.C. are false. He remains legally recognized in Cote D’Ivoire and other parts of the world.

Additionally, the 2015 court ruling against Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa is still under appeal at the Ibadan Court of Appeal, with the next hearing set for October 22, 2025. Any suggestion that he is barred from performing his duties is misleading.

Next Steps

An eight-member committee representing Nigeria, Benin, and Cote D’Ivoire has been formed, chaired by President Talon. This committee will develop a plan for church unity and is set to meet again in March 2025.

Contrary to rumors, no money was exchanged during the meeting. Neither President Talon nor any other party offered financial incentives to attendees.

Awaiting Further Updates

The leadership of the Celestial Church of Christ remains open to discussions on unity and will publicly share the committee’s recommendations once available.

For now, the Ajase/Agongue Pilgrimage remains postponed. Further updates will be communicated soon.
