To become a Celestial member, there are several steps you need to take:
1. Renounce Other Affiliations: You must give up any memberships in secret cults, societies, fraternities, or similar organizations.
2. Reject Idol Worship and Fetish Practices: Stop worshiping idols and engaging in fetish practices. Avoid following fetish priests or being involved in magic or dark powers.
3. Renounce Satan: You need to reject the worship of Satan and all his works.
4. Declare Your Membership: Publicly announce your membership in the Celestial Church of Christ and specify that you wish to be buried according to the church’s beliefs and rituals upon your death.
5. Get Baptized: Baptism in the Celestial Church of Christ is required for official membership, even if you were baptized in another Christian denomination previously.
6. Undergo Sanctification: Participate in a sanctification process, which involves spiritual purification using water, a candle, a sponge, and soap. A representative of the pastor or an appointee will conduct the prayer of sanctification.
7. Follow Church Guidelines: Adhere to the church’s rules, including not practicing polygamy, not wearing shoes inside the sanctuary, wearing appropriate head coverings for female members, and abstaining from alcohol and tobacco.
Anyone who meets these requirements and sincerely wishes to worship and serve Jesus Christ within the church can become a Celestial member.
