The year 1948 remains a defining moment in the formative history of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC). On April 4, 1948, at Danko, seven devoted disciples were baptized under the spiritual authority of the Pastor, Prophet and Founder, Samuel Bilehou Joseph Oshoffa. These men would later emerge as the first apostles who helped institutionalize and expand the early Church structure.
As the Church transitioned from a prophetic movement into an organized spiritual body, administrative delegation became necessary. These seven apostles were entrusted with strategic territories, strengthening both evangelism and parish establishment during a critical growth phase.
Paul Hounsou was assigned oversight of Azowlissè, Vakom Centre, and Gbèko, consolidating the early presence of the fold in those communities.
Samuel Kpanou was placed in charge of Gbèko, Agongué, and Avagbodji, contributing to the territorial spread and spiritual coordination of emerging parishes.

Antoine Dossou distinguished himself not only as a leader but as a church planter. In September 1964, he founded Tedo Alafia in Owodé, which later became recognized as the Mother Parish of Owodé, marking a significant milestone in parish institutionalization.
Antoine Zinsou’s legacy reflected generational continuity. Historical accounts note that his children later became parish leaders in America, London, and Nigeria, particularly at Oki Parish 1—demonstrating the transnational growth of the fold.
Simon Ahoudokpo occupies a unique place in CCC history as the only Evangelist of Agongué personally appointed and anointed by the Holy Father Oshoffa, underscoring the trust placed in his spiritual stewardship.
Gabriel Kouliho further expanded the Church’s territorial reach by founding and overseeing a parish situated between Owodé Élèdè and Magnitu, reinforcing structural stability in that axis.
